Anoka County has created a fund utilizing Cares Act dollars to provide emergency assistance grants to small local businesses and non-profits adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Anoka County Small Business & Non-Profit Relief Fund will provide grants of up to $10,000 to small businesses and non-profits most in need of support. Providing this support is intended to increase the capacity of small businesses and non-profits with a physical location in Anoka County to survive the current pandemic crisis and may help prevent closures, job losses and potential future blight scenarios. These grant funds can be used to ensure your business and non-profit can afford to operate while maintaining the social distancing guidelines for the safety of your employees and customers.
The Open to Business program is a collaboration between Anoka County and the Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers. An Open to Business adviser is available to provide one-on-one business counseling assistance customized to meet the needs of current business owners and prospective entrepreneurs. Financing is also available to qualified applicants. The Open to Business program is being offered free of charge to Anoka County businesses or residents. Our advisor is offering virtual consultations during COVID with business owners.
